Hey, it's been awhile. I don't know if anyone is still here to read this, but, if it wasn't already obvious enough, I've jumped ship from deviantArt. Over a decade ago, this was my favorite site. Nowadays, I feel like calling it a shriveled up husk of its former self to be an understatement. I started coming to deviantArt way back in 2009 because it was a good, functional art website with a thriving community. Nowadays, the search function is completely broken, the site layout is horrendous, all of my friends and most of the artists I looked up to have left, the staff has proven time and time again that the feedback of its users means nothing to them, they do nothing to protect artists from theft, there's more half-assed edits, screenshots, and "memes" than there are actual art these days, etc. All of that to say that I once loved deviantArt and truly enjoyed my time here, but that is just not the case anymore. I will always hold those old memories of this website dearly in my heart
